The Checkroom, founded by Liz Williams, is dedicated to creating 100% American-made outerwear from domestically sourced wool. In 2020, frustrated by the lack of high-quality garments on the market, Liz set out to support the nearly lost U.S. wool industry. Partnering with one of the few remaining American mills, American Woolen, she now crafts pieces from Shaniko Wool—a RWS-certified fiber grown, processed, and woven entirely in the United States—ensuring each garment reflects lasting quality, sustainability, and refined American craftsmanship.
